Itinerary - 7 DAYS MYSTICAL LADAKH 2024
- In your best interest, sometimes you may need to make necessary modifications to your vacation itinerary. Where practical, we will advise you before you leave your home town, although we may occasionally be forced to make changes along the way. We will keep you informed at all times.
- Bad weather in mountainous regions can cause flight delays. These problems mainly occur in the Ladakh region of India. If the delay is prolonged, it may be necessary for us to reroute the walk and tour, perhaps to an area more easily accessible by road transport. We accept no liability for charges incurred as a result of flight delays and missed international flight connections. However, we will do our best to help you.
- You understand and agree that the proposed tour may expose you to levels of physical exertion to which you may not be accustomed or expose you to hazards inherent in traveling through remote areas which may be subject to, among other things, political, physical, sanitary or climatic conditions. By agreeing to use our services, you accept these dangers and unfavorable conditions.
- You must purchase comprehensive travel insurance that includes a provision for helicopter rescue when you pay your deposit.
- We strongly recommend that you visit your doctor and dentist before your vacation. You should consult your doctor about current vaccination requirements. Full details of pre-existing medical conditions must be sent to us when booking. Elderly clients or clients with pre-existing medical conditions may require a letter from their doctor clearing them for the trek and Beyond Himalayas Pvt. Limited. Limited. Ltd. reserves the right to verify these documents before confirmation of tours and treks.
- A valid passport is required for all tourists. Passports must be valid for a minimum of six months from the start of the trip, with at least two clean pages per country to visit.
- A valid visa is required for the entire destination. You should always consult your doctor or the nearest travel clinic for the latest information on recommended health precautions, both vaccination and malaria prophylaxis.
- Complete medical kits are carried on all trips. Additionally, medical oxygen and portable altitude chambers are carried as a precaution on high-altitude hikes and climbing expeditions. All meals during the trek are prepared specifically for your group with strict hygiene standards and sterile washing facilities are provided.
- Altitude sickness can affect anyone. Serious problems are avoided by incorporating rest and acclimatization. For normal symptoms, a drop in altitude or time in a portable acclimatization chamber leads to a rapid recovery.
- Travel insurance that includes helicopter evacuation is highly valued.
- Customers over the age of sixty must complete a personal and medical travel history questionnaire. People under the age of sixteen can join specific family outings and private groups.
DAY 01
LEH
We will meet you at Leh airport. Flights usually land at 11:30 am and you will drive directly to your hotel. Spend the day acclimatizing as you observe the simple life of the Ladakhi people amidst serene landscapes. In the evening you can explore the lively Leh market. Beneath the impressive eighth-floor Leh Palace, the market square offers a showcase of cultural fusion.

DAY 02
LEH
After a healthy organic breakfast at the homestay, we will leave for the Heritage Walk in the old town. We will begin by visiting the museum built by the Leh Old Town Restoration Initiative (LOTI) group, with locally available materials and infrastructure. The structure revolves around a skyscraper (Thokskar) on the top floor and has relics of Ladakh. From there you will enter the streets of the old town where the entire landscape is just as it was in the times of the Kings, some of which have been restored by LOTI. The walk will take you through the palace of King Singay Namgyal. After lunch, visit the largest and oldest Thikse Monastery and the famous Rancho School.

DAY 03
TURTUK
Like all overland tours around Ladakh, this tour will take you through picturesque landscapes, mountain passes, river valleys and sparse mountain settlements. Across the mighty peak of Khardungla (the world's highest motorable road at 18,300 feet above sea level), drive into the Indo-Pakistan border region of fascinating Turtuk. In the afternoon drive to Hunder to the camp and relax overnight.

DAY 04
TURTUK-NUBRA
Wake up to the fresh, pious air of the eternal Baltic village. Stroll through the ancient village of Turtuk with its buckwheat fields, local artisans, red-cheeked children and cheerful locals and visit the former home of the royal family. After lunch, embark on your journey to the stunning Valley of Flowers, Nubra.

DAY 05
NUBRA-PANGONG
Enjoy the serene and peaceful atmosphere of the beautiful Nubra Valley. The 30-meter-high Buddha and the adjacent Diskit Monastery, situated on a hilltop overlooking the Nubra Valley, house a sacred space for silent contemplation. Delight in the organic gardens, ride double-humped Bactrian camels in the wild pastures around the sand dunes. After lunch, we will depart towards the vast emptiness of Pangong Tso Lake.

We will take a walk around the serene lake, immersing ourselves in the divinity of the simple life of the locals and discovering their many stories. Enjoy the day by the lake and get ready for the return journey to Leh.
